Affaire Pape Cheikh Diallo : Pape Birame Bigué Ndiaye conduit au tribunal de Pikine-Guédiawaye
Pape Birame Bigué Ndiaye, a journalist with the Senegalese Radio and Television Broadcasting (RTS), was taken to the Pikine-Guédiawaye courthouse on Friday, along with two other defendants. They will be presented to the investigating judge of the first chamber, who had ordered a judicial delegation in the case of Pape Cheikh Diallo and others.
Pape Birame Bigué Ndiaye was arrested following the discovery of love and sexual messages exchanged with Ibrahima Magib Seck, who was arrested last week. Despite HIV test results being included in the case file, the journalist firmly denies the charges of "unnatural acts" against him. His fate now rests with the investigating magistrate.
However, the prosecutor has already remanded in custody radio host Pape Cheikh Diallo, artist Djiby Dramé, banker Doudou Lamine Dieng, Ibrahima Magib Seck, and 14 other defendants. The charges in this case include criminal conspiracy, unnatural acts, intentional transmission of HIV/AIDS, and money laundering.
