Affaire Prodac : Mame Mbaye Niang contre-attaque et annonce une plainte
Former Minister of Tourism, Mame Mbaye Niang, has taken a further step in his defense against recurring accusations concerning the Community Agricultural Domains Program (Prodac) case.
During an appearance on RFM radio, he announced his intention to become a civil party and file a formal complaint against the consulting firm that conducted the work on the case. This action will be taken in collaboration with the former director general of Prodac, Pape Malick Ndour, and their lawyers.
Mame Mbaye Niang strongly contested Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko's recent statements regarding the transmission of a report to the financial crimes unit. "I will file a civil suit and lodge a complaint against the expert firm with the Order of Experts. The report Sonko refers to does not exist in the terms he describes," he declared, arguing that unfounded conclusions damage his reputation.
The former minister reaffirmed that the benchmark audit is that of the Court of Auditors – a report he considers public and which, according to him, "contains no mention whatsoever of me taking 29 billion." He maintains that the contracts under legal proceedings concern container transfers, with no direct link to his ministerial management.
Mame Mbaye Niang insists that the legal case involves the former CEO, Pape Malick Ndour, and that he is unduly cited in a case where he was neither a signatory of the expenses nor the authorizing officer of the credits.
