Boy Djiné dénonce : « On veut me faire porter des crimes que je n’ai pas commis »

Behind the walls of the Liberté 6 prison camp, Baye Modou Fall, alias "Boy Djiné," is experiencing what he describes as an "injustice." The escape artist, who confided in a close friend interviewed by Seneweb, vents his anger and despair at what he considers an arbitrary detention.

Reporting Boy Djiné's confidences, our source states: "After his release, Boy Djiné was warned, through his contacts, that he risked being arrested again. To protect himself, he left the country to go to Mali. When he returned for a medical appointment, he went to see Prosecutor Abdou Karim Diop at the Dakar court to inquire about the situation, but he did not see him," he recounts.

This deliberate act, however, marked the beginning of a new nightmare. According to our source, everything unfolded during the night: “He was traveling to Diourbel. On the way, thanks to his intelligence, he learned that General Moussa Fall had ordered his arrest. He broke down due to a flat tire in Diamniadio. After changing it, he continued on the national highway. Near Aloum Kagne, gendarmes on duty checked his car before letting him go.”

“Moreover, Baye Modou Fall said he received a suspicious call while he was at the tire repair shop. Someone asked him if he was Awa. He replied that she had the wrong number and hung up. But a few kilometers from the entrance to Diourbel, on the toll highway, other gendarmes stopped him again. He showed his papers, explaining that his vehicle hadn't yet cleared customs. It was under these circumstances that he became suspected of planning a burglary in Touba. He was transferred to the Thiès research section, where he spent three days without knowing what he was accused of,” according to our source.

According to Boye Djiné's own account, relayed by a close associate, investigators wanted him to sign a statement listing charges of conspiracy and attempted robbery, even though he was alone at the time of his arrest. This is why he refused to sign the document. "They wanted to pin crimes on him that he didn't commit," the source reported.

The famous tool case

During his arrest, the police found a suitcase full of tools in Boy Djiné's car, allegedly intended for burglary. According to our source, who relies on the accused's version of events, this theory was fabricated. "They found a toolbox in his car. But these tools weren't meant for a robbery. They're the tools he uses to repair his sound equipment. So, this whole attempted robbery story was a judicial setup to send him back to prison."

Baye Modou denounces the situation, claiming they want to "condemn innocent people through fabricated accusations." He added, "Baye Modou says he was framed for a burglary in Colobane, even though he never participated. He was simply in the area, and one of the thieves mentioned his name," he reported. This case will be heard next December in the Dakar Criminal Court.

Meanwhile, Boy Djiné continues to proclaim his innocence from behind the bars of the Camp Pénal prison, which he knows all too well. The man with the extraordinary life story, perceived as a formidable criminal with multiple arrest warrants, now appears exhausted and broken. "He has nothing left to prove. He just wants the truth," our source concluded.
