Branchement frauduleux sur le réseau de la SENELEC : Le gérant de la société Erig Afrique arrêté à Kaolack
The urban security unit of the Kaolack central police station arrested O. Sarr, the manager of the company Erig Afrique, on Monday, November 17. He was taken into custody for illegally connecting to the network of the National Electricity Company of Senegal (SENELEC) and for electricity theft.
It all started on November 14, 2025, when the Legal Affairs Department of SENELEC filed a complaint with the police against the company Erig Afrique, located in the Léona district of Kaolack, according to Seneweb sources.
According to the complaint, the company allegedly made illegal connections to the SENELEC electricity grid, allowing it to consume energy without paying the actual cost. These facts were reportedly confirmed by a bailiff's report drawn up to protect SENELEC's interests in the proceedings.
The investigation opened by the central police station of Kaolack is continuing to shed light on the exact circumstances of the fraudulent connection and to assess the extent of the damage suffered by the National Electricity Company of Senegal.

Pis, lorsque la crise a éclaté, il nous a été déclaré que c'est Abib Sy qui a été appelé au secours et il a écourté son séjour à la Mecque pour venir réconcilier Sonko et Diomaye. Abib Sy, un des derniers mohicans du système que nous disions combattre au prix de 86 morts. Finalement, on est tenté de dire : tout ça pour ça. Nos jeunes sont morts, d'autres définitivement sur fauteuil roulant pour rien du tout. C'est révoltant. J'ai les larmes aux yeux. Finalement, je crois que c'est nous qui avons cru au projet, Sonko et Diomaye eux, voulaient juste le pouvoir.
