This Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the former Minister of Mines, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye, was questioned by the Senior Judge of the Dakar court in the ArcelorMittal case. Summoned as a witness, he appeared at 9:52 a.m. at the judge's chambers, dressed in an immaculate white suit, a black satchel in his left hand, accompanied by his lawyer, Mr. El Hadji Oumar Youm. The hearing, which lasted nearly an hour, allowed the former minister to deliver "his share of the truth," according to sources close to the case regarding the payment protocol of $140 million (more than 78 billion FCFA) released to settle the dispute between the State of Senegal and the steel giant ArcelorMittal.
The case took on new dimensions following the election of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. A complaint filed through the State Judicial Agent (AJE) led to the opening of a judicial investigation into suspicions of criminal conspiracy, corruption, money laundering, and other offenses. The investigation was entrusted to the first cabinet.

POULO dogata ! A diarama !
