Enquête sur les violences politiques : pourquoi Pape Abdoulaye Touré est convoqué à la Section de recherches et les parents de victimes à la DIC
The investigation into the political violence that occurred between 2021 and 2024, which left at least 80 dead and many injured, begins this Friday. Injured victims, families of deceased victims, and witnesses will appear before investigators first.

At the same time, Abdoulaye Wade, brother of Cheikh Wade, shot dead at Parcelles Assainies, according to numerous witnesses, and Binta Bâ, mother of Alassane Barry, killed on Allées du Centenaire, will face DIC investigators, reports L'Observateur in its Friday edition.
On what basis is the distribution of the first witnesses between the DIC and the gendarmerie being made? "For Pape Abdoulaye Touré, it is gendarmes who are implicated, that is certainly why he is being questioned by the Research Section," the executive director of Amnesty International/Senegal, Seydi Gassama, attempts to L'Observateur.
The investigation into the political violence of 2021-2024 was initiated by former Justice Minister Ousmane Diagne. He referred the matter to the Attorney General, who forwarded the message to the Public Prosecutor, who in turn called on the DIC and the Research Section to conduct the investigations.
