SYTJUST and UNTJ have suspended their strike, but their action, long invisible, leaves a deep imprint. These agents, discreet guardians of the judicial system, have imposed their influence through what, paradoxically, is rarely perceived: their very invisibility.
Blocking court offices and interrupting hearings exposes the fragility of a system that relies on professions often ignored by the general public. These actors, without platforms or spotlights, who handle cases, notifications, and procedures, nevertheless hold immense leverage. By ceasing their work, they have demonstrated that the rule of law cannot do without them, that their role is central, even if we often forget to see it.
The union movement played a subtle game, mobilizing this hidden power. Their strike was not a din, but an absence. An absence that blocked the judicial system, paralyzed the flow of litigants, and forced dialogue. More than a social demand, it was a revelation: invisibility in the public service is not synonymous with insignificance.
The suspension of the strike opens a window of hope. Dialogue is beginning, negotiations are resuming. But the memory of these weeks of shutdown must push us to rethink the recognition of shadow professions, their integration into the institutional chain, and their valorization. Because it is by strengthening these essential links that justice will find greater strength and legitimacy.
