Incident au tribunal : Les trois militants de Pastef et Abdoulaye Ndiaye de Farba Ngom libérés
An incident in front of the Dakar High Court led to the temporary arrest of four people before their release.
Police officers from the Rebeuss district police station arrested three Pastef activists and Abdoulaye Ndiaye, Farba Ngom's communications manager, on the sidelines of the trial of columnist Abdou Nguer.
The altercation erupted as Abdoulaye Ndiaye, a member of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), was holding a press conference outside the courthouse. He was interrupted by Pastef activists who accused him of making insulting remarks against their leader Ousmane Sonko.
To avoid clashes on the public highway, the police quickly arrested the four protagonists, according to Seneweb sources. This arrest was aimed at defusing tensions and maintaining public order around the courthouse.
The four people involved were eventually all released, the incident having been brought under control without any legal action.
