Offense au président Diomaye Faye : Mouhamed Ndiaye « Sonko » écroué, son dossier en instruction
Charged with incitement to insurrection, incitement to a gathering likely to disturb public security and offense against the head of state, Mouhamed Ndiaye alias “Mouhamed Sonko” was presented to prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor’s office, who requested the opening of a judicial investigation against him.
After being referred back to the prosecutor's office twice, the Pastef activist was formally charged and remanded in custody this Friday by the investigating judge of the second chamber, according to Seneweb sources. This tailor by trade will spend his first night in prison.
Mouhamed Ndiaye was arrested last Monday by the BR of Keur Massar, after being searched for by the police and the gendarmerie.
This came after a social media post in which he expressed his willingness to voluntarily present himself to the police, before the gendarmes located and arrested him in Malika.
When questioned briefly, the man who calls himself "Mouhamed Sonko" admitted without ambiguity the facts of which he is accused, while claiming that he was not aware that his remarks were an offense to the head of state, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.
He also claimed not to be in full possession of his mental faculties, brandishing medical prescriptions.
