Procès de Juan Branco à Paris : bloqué à Dakar, Me Abdy Nar Ndiaye indexe le Consulat français
Franco-Spanish lawyer Juan Branco is the subject of disciplinary proceedings initiated by the Paris Bar. In a letter dated October 2, 2025, addressed to his Senegalese colleague, Abdy Nar Ndiaye, Juan Branco officially appointed him to defend him in these proceedings.
The hearing is scheduled for October 15 at 9:30 a.m., at the Disciplinary Council, located at 2/4 rue d'Harlay, Paris 4th.
However, Mr Abdy Nar Ndiaye has still not obtained his visa for France, 48 hours before the trial.
The lawyer points the finger at the French Consulate in Dakar, which he accuses of hindering the exercise of his duties. "The French Consulate General is preventing me from defending my client. I have fulfilled all my obligations. I even contacted the authorities of that country to lend me assistance, but to no avail so far. This attitude of the consul is an obstacle to the exercise of a regulated profession," the lawyer confided.
