Procès en diffamation : Omar Dramé appelle à une forte mobilisation des travailleurs
The defamation trial between Omar Dramé and the Director General of the Commission for Food Security and Resilience, Marième Soda Ndiaye, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Dakar court, in room 3, after four successive postponements.
On the eve of the hearing, Omar Dramé expressed his optimism regarding a decision by the judge on the merits.
But beyond the legal aspect, the union leader intends to transform this meeting into a show of strength for the workers' movement.
In this context, he called on the Trade Union Front for the Defense of Workers, which had organized a march for the same day, to mobilize massively. He invited his comrades to first gather at the Dakar courthouse to support his cause, before converging on the demonstration.
The call is also made to all workers for strong and determined participation, in a context marked, according to him, by the need to defend social rights and to enforce the commitments of the State.
Omar Dramé insists in particular on the effective implementation of the Social Stability Pact for inclusive and sustainable growth.
