Scandale foncier à Dakar : plusieurs personnalités, dont Cheikh Kanté, Abdoulaye Dia et Serigne Mboup, visées
In its edition of Friday, January 16, L'Observateur reveals that the Dakar prosecutor's office has launched a major legal offensive, opening an investigation into illegal land occupation and forgery of public documents. This procedure follows a complaint filed by the heirs of the late Mamadou Diagne, who denounce the dispossession of several hectares of family land located on the Rufisque road and in the Greater Dakar area. According to the plaintiffs, these plots were allegedly seized through the fraudulent issuance of land titles, the same source details.
The newspaper, part of the Future Media Group (GFM), specifies that the investigation, entrusted to the Urban Security Unit (SU), targets a significant number of prominent figures in Senegal's economic and political elite. Among those summoned are former minister and former director general of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, Cheikh Kanté; the CEO of the Senico Group, Abdoulaye Dia; businessman and mayor of Kaolack, Serigne Mboup; as well as entrepreneur Masse Sall and the mayor of Greater Dakar, Jean-Baptiste Diouf, the newspaper lists.
The accused responded swiftly. Masse Sall has already produced notarized documents and a land title dating back to 1950 to attest to his good faith during his hearing. For his part, Cheikh Kanté, expected on Wednesday, firmly denies the accusations. As reported by Gfm, he announced his intention to file a defamation lawsuit against the representative of the heirs, denouncing an attempt to "smear honest citizens."
The hearings are scheduled to continue until the end of January. Investigators from the Urban Security division will have to conduct a rigorous documentary review to separate fact from fiction in this land dispute with considerable financial stakes, adds L'Observateur.

Ces gens ont ruiné le pays et nous vivons aujourd'hui les conséquences de tout ces saccages et pillages de nos deniers publics par ces libéraux alternoceurs qui ont plongé des millions de sénégalais dans la misère et la pauvreté la plus totale.
La déclaration de patrimoine doit être une obligation pour tous ces gens qui affichent une vie démesurée le blanchiment de l’argent sale et de la drogue plaque tournante en Afrique de l’Ouest et va plonger le Sénégal 🇸🇳 dans la faillite un jour l’argent frêne le développement du continent africain
Pour Serigne Mboup et Cheikh Kante, je ne saurais me prononcer.
Par contre pour Abdoulaye Dia, y'a pas plus honnête que lui dans ce pays.Tout ce qu'il achète comme bien immobilier, c'est licite, légal et devant notaire. Il n'est jamais dans les magouilles.
En plus comment accuser de spoliation quelqu'un qui prend des hectares pour les offrir gracieusement à des pères et meres de famille ?
Dans ce pays, réussir ou être riche est vraiment devenu un crime.
Rien ne va se passera, nous somme au Sénégal.
