TGI de Mbour : Envoyé récupérer un téléphone, il le revend à 7 000 F CFA
The Mbour High Court tried a teenager accused of misappropriating a mobile phone.
According to the plaintiff, Mr. Coulibaly, he had sent A. Sow to retrieve his phone. But the latter never returned with the device.
In front of the judge, A. Sow admitted to having resold the phone to “a big shot” for the sum of 7,000 CFA francs, while M. Coulibaly had bought it for 50,000 CFA francs.
"Where is the phone?", the judge asks. "I sold it to a big shot," replies the youthful-looking defendant, which provoked a murmur in the room.
A. Sow, by reselling it, caused harm to its owner. The owner forgave the defendant, who requested leniency. The prosecutor asked for the law to be applied, and the court adjourned the case for deliberation.
