Wrestler Ama Baldé was brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye court on Monday by the Keur Massar research unit. The son of Falaye Baldé was arrested a few hours after returning from a trip to France, acting on a warrant issued by the investigating judge of the 1st chamber, in a case involving assault, drugs, and resisting arrest that implicates his nephew, Julio Baldé, who is currently at large. Ama Baldé was subject to a travel ban.

It was in this same procedure that his brother, Pathé Baldé, was arrested; he spent six months in detention before being granted provisional release.

Ama Baldé is due to be brought before the investigating judge in the next few hours, who will decide his fate.
