« Tu as le profil d’un... » : le juge recadre le harceleur de Racky Aïdara
Racky Aïdara, a presenter on 2Stv and an influencer, can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The Dakar court has delivered its verdict in the case against her harasser, O. Fall. The 23-year-old was found guilty of violence and assault, reports Les Échos, which attended the hearing.
According to the same source, the victim's ordeal began on social media before spilling into real life. On Snapchat, the accused repeatedly sent outrageous and sexually explicit messages, changing accounts each time he was blocked. He then escalated his actions by going to the presenter's shop in Almadies, her workplace, and loitering around her home, all captured on security cameras. The complaint was filed after he followed Racky Aïdara to a friend's house, plunging the presenter, who lives alone with her young daughter, into a state of constant fear.
In court, the newspaper reports, the public prosecutor didn't hold back in her criticism of the defendant: "She's older than you. What's more, she's a married woman, and you're harassing her like this. What's wrong with you? Do you want to assault her?" she demanded. Facing Ousseynou Fall, who claimed he "just wanted to see her," she insisted: "You need to get help if you're sick. You need treatment."
As quoted by the same source, the judge declared sternly: "You're lucky, otherwise her husband would have taken care of the case. It's even a mistake to let you go. We're watching you... You fit the profile of a sexual predator."
The prosecution had described Fall as a "potential psychopath," capable of "escalating his actions." They had requested a three-month prison sentence. The court ultimately sentenced the defendant to one month in prison. As Racky Aïdara was not present at the hearing, her civil interests were reserved, the newspaper added.
