Violence conjugale à Mbour : Un sous-officier de l'armée traîné en justice par son épouse
An army non-commissioned officer allegedly assaulted his wife following an argument. According to Seneweb sources, Warrant Officer BS, serving in the Air Force, was summoned this Monday to the Diamaguène 2 police station in Mbour.
The origin of the complaint
It all started when his first wife, AM, a teacher, filed a complaint with the Mbour District Court against her husband. The prosecutor's representative ordered an investigation and an arrest.
The plaintiff's accusations
When questioned by investigators, the complainant stated that her husband was physically abusing her. To support her claims, she submitted a medical certificate attesting to a seven-day period of temporary incapacity for work (ITT).
According to her statements, her husband is impulsive and constantly abuses her.
The soldier's hearing
Summoned and questioned on Monday, the soldier readily admitted to the acts. He explained that his wife was jealous because he had taken a second wife.
The army non-commissioned officer was released after questioning. The case will now be forwarded to the public prosecutor's office. The matter will proceed through the courts.
