Culture : Dakar capitale du festival Stéréo Africa
The Senegalese capital is pulsating to the rhythm of the Stereo Africa festival, which concludes on May 10th. It brings together numerous professionals from the arts and music sector from around the world. The initiative of artist-composer Sahad Sarr aims to introduce new creative works to the Senegalese cultural ecosystem.
The Stereo Africa Festival is a pan-African cultural event founded to celebrate African music, creativity, and cultures in all their diversity. Since its inception, the festival has established itself as an artistic and professional hub, bringing together local and international artists, cultural institutions, emerging talents, and a passionate audience.
Its objective: to promote African and diasporic artistic expressions; to create employability opportunities for young people in cultural professions; to develop spaces for dialogue, exchange and collaboration between local and international actors; to promote Dakar and Senegal as a regional and pan-African cultural hub.
The activities take place within several cultural institutes across the country through a series of concerts and shows.
