According to the latest forecasts from the National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM), the rain and storm system currently observed over Dakar and Thiès is expected to dissipate within the next two hours.
However, further rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected overnight in northern towns, including Matam, Podor, and probably Linguère and Saint-Louis.
The sky will remain cloudy with a risk of showers in the Southwest, particularly Ziguinchor and Cap-Skirring, notes the Agency's special bulletin.
It should also be noted that rainy weather is forecast for Tuesday in the Southwest (Ziguinchor, Kolda, Sédhiou), the South-Central (Kaolack, Fatick) and the West-Central (Diourbel, Thiès and Dakar), according to the same source. Temperatures will remain moderate, with good visibility across the country.
Anacim finally stated that the winds, from the West to Southwest, will blow weakly to moderately, but could reach a stronger intensity in Dakar.
