On March 24, 2026, at around 10:36 p.m., members of the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade, under the OCRTIS, arrested three individuals in Keur Massar, in possession of nearly three kilograms of hashish, packaged in 29 slabs and two balls.

The operation follows the exploitation of operational intelligence reporting the sustained international hashish trafficking activities of a woman identified as AD, aged 39, a trader residing in Keur Massar, suspected of shuttling between Morocco and Dakar.

A surveillance and tracking operation was then set up around his apartment near the hospital, as well as around his family home near the terminus of bus line 54. After several days of observation, investigators spotted AD entering the building. A few minutes later, they intervened.

Faced with the occupant's silence despite several warnings, the officers were forced to break down the door. AD was found hiding under a kitchen table. A search of the kitchen revealed nine slabs of hashish and packaging materials. Twenty more slabs were discovered in a washing machine in the guest bathroom. A ball of hashish was also found in her handbag.

The police also seized a revolver without ammunition, two mobile phones and administrative documents.

Continuing their analysis of the suspect's phone, investigators identified calls from a 33-year-old man named AW, a gardener residing in Grand-Yoff Arafat. On the officers' instructions, AD contacted him to ask him to come and pick up an order.

Upon arrival, he was arrested in possession of a 20-gram ball of hashish, 205,000 FCFA and a mobile phone.

AW stated that he was accompanied by a client and invited him to meet him in front of the hospital. The individual, AMF, a 28-year-old electrician residing in Grand-Yoff Arafat, was immediately arrested upon his arrival on a motorcycle. A search yielded two cell phones. A search of his home in Ouest-Foire led to the discovery of 25,000 FCFA, according to Seneweb.

When questioned separately, the three accused admitted their respective involvement.

They were taken into custody after being informed of their rights. The drugs and other seized items were placed under seal for the purposes of the investigation.
