4 Avril à Thiès : Lancement d'une campagne de sensibilisation sur l’entretien et l’utilisation des toilettes publiques
In preparation for the celebration of Senegal's independence on April 4, 2026 in Thiès, local authorities are strengthening initiatives aimed at promoting public hygiene and civic responsibility.
In this context, the regional hygiene brigade, in collaboration with the army (Zone 7), launched an awareness campaign on the maintenance and proper use of public restrooms. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote public health and improve the living conditions of the population. It also aims to inform and educate citizens about the importance of keeping sanitary facilities clean, using them correctly, and contributing to the preservation of the urban environment.
The organizers indicate that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure good hygiene conditions, particularly in the lead-up to the official activities marking the national holiday, which will take place in the presence of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.
The authorities wish to encourage responsible behavior from users and strengthen the culture of public hygiene, which is essential for the health and well-being of the population.
