59 kg de drogue saisis à la Médina : Comment la BRS de Dakar a pisté le colis depuis Fatick, 2 arrestations
Officers from the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade, under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), arrested two individuals in the early hours of Tuesday, February 10, 2026, around 1:00 a.m., in the Medina neighborhood at the corner of Rue 25 and Rue Vincent, in possession of 59 kg of cannabis. The two men are MS, 48, a carpenter residing in Medina, and ADD, 44, a street vendor of Guinean nationality, also residing in Medina.
These arrests follow the controlled delivery operation dubbed "Djolof 26". Operational intelligence had indicated an imminent delivery of a large quantity of Indian hemp from Ndiosmone (Fatick region) to Dakar, more precisely to the Medina district, according to Seneweb sources.
An undercover agent was deployed within the operation for the purposes of the delivery. Surveillance and tracking followed the progress of the packages. Upon the vehicle's arrival, the recipients received the packages and stored them in their homes. A few minutes later, the police officers entered the house.
A search of the residence uncovered two packages in a bedroom, one of which was already opened. MS, who was acting as a caretaker, was apprehended at the scene. Eight cell phones were seized from him. ADD was arrested on the balcony with two cell phones while pretending to be asleep.
When questioned, the two suspects identified I. and D., who are currently at large, as the actual recipients of the two packages of marijuana. They also attributed to them the ownership of two cell phones found in the room.
The two dealers were taken into custody for possession of drugs (Indian hemp) for the purpose of trafficking, complicity in trafficking and money laundering, after being notified of their right to legal counsel.
