8mars : le ministre Moustapha Guirassy chante pour sa maman disparue
March 8th, International Women's Day, is certainly a day to celebrate women and their achievements, but also to remember the challenges they continue to face.
It is also a day to say thank you to the women in our lives, for their strength, resilience, and love. And on this occasion, the Minister of National Education, Moustapha Mamba Guirassy, paid tribute to his late mother, Adja Soumanding Diakhaby.
On his Facebook page, he shared a touching memory, a video where he sang praises to his mother, who was visibly proud of her son.

I will always sing for you, Diakhaby, because I always want to see your smile. Your smile is a strength for me, an energy that sustains me, and a blessing in my life.
The power of Allah beyond compare, your smile, your joy, your happiness... are in my eyes more important than all the treasures that the earth and the heavens can contain.
That's why I've always sung for you.
I will always sing for you, for your suffering.
I will always sing for you, for your sorrows.
I will sing forever for you, for the unparalleled love you had for me and for all children. For you, indeed, being a mother meant accepting that every child you met was your own.
I will sing for you, for the dignity and values you taught me. I will continue to sing for you, Diakhaby, because who I am today, Allah has placed in your hands. I will sing again and again for you, for that tender look you give me when I sing.
Even if torn from my sight, my songs will reach you, I am sure, through the channels of the heart.
Today, on this March 8th, thinking of you, I also think of all the women of the world. Of all those mothers who lovingly nurture their families, who educate, who support, and who hold our societies together.
