Accusé de viol sur mineure : Le frère d'un directeur général arrêté par la gendarmerie de la Foire
The territorial brigade of La Foire, under the jurisdiction of the Dakar gendarmerie company, brought the brother of a director general before the court on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, on charges of child abduction and rape, according to Seneweb sources. The arrest of the suspect, SM, a 50-year-old married man, followed a statement he made to the gendarmerie.
It all started when SD, a 16-year-old student in her final year of middle school, ran away from home last December. After an intense and unsuccessful search, her parents alerted the police so that an investigation could be opened.
Later, SD returned to her family home. Taken to the investigators and then questioned, she confessed to having had sexual relations with SM, a man in his fifties whose brother is a director general in Senegal. Despite the sensitive nature of the case, the investigation was handled by the gendarmerie.
The investigation reportedly confirmed the victim's account. Analysis of her phone revealed a very close relationship between the suspect and the minor. Their conversations suggest sexual contact.
"I miss you very much, but I cannot come today because I am in my menstrual cycle ('damala namm, tey mounouma gneuw dama guiss sama règle')", the girl had told the accused, according to the exploitation of their conversation.
Other incriminating messages were also discovered during the investigation. "Where can I meet you? (...) Take a taxi, I'll pay the fare when we arrive (...) Wait for me at the paved road, I'll come and get you."
(“Fann lalay fekk, Dieuleul taxi ma fay, takhawal si talibi ma keuf la etc.),” we read in their conversation.
Confronted with the evidence, SM denied having had sexual relations with the girl, while admitting to having exchanged messages with her. "She keeps hitting on me even though I'm in a relationship with her 16-year-old girlfriend," the accused immigrant reportedly confided.
But the victim stuck to his story, even going so far as to describe in detail the location of their meeting, the color and texture of the room where they had sex. The investigation reportedly confirmed this description.
