Acte contre nature : Un homme condamné à 10 ans de réclusion criminelle pour tentative de viol sur un garçon de 5 ans
The criminal chamber of the Thiès High Court has delivered its verdict in the case of attempted rape, pedophilia, and abduction of a minor, involving the defendant O. Diouf, aged 25, and the boy B. Bâ, aged 5 at the time of the events, which occurred in 2022 in Pout. After deliberation, the judge found him guilty of the charges and sentenced him to 10 years' imprisonment.
The case was judged on January 27, 2026.
In court, the defendant made statements deemed contradictory, initially denying the charges: "I did not commit the acts I am accused of."
Then he recanted his statement, admitting that he had encouraged the child to have sexual relations with him. He specified that it was the first time he had committed such an act and that he did not understand what had driven him to act in this way.
The victim's father, A. Ba, explained that his son had returned home in a state of shock and had told him that he had been taken by O. Diouf to an unfinished building where he allegedly tried to sexually assault him.
The defendant's mother stated that her son suffers from mental disorders that could explain his behavior.
The public prosecutor emphasized that the facts were established and that the defendant did not appear to be a normal person, given the acts he was accused of. He requested a five-year prison sentence. However, the judge ultimately sentenced the defendant to ten years' imprisonment.
