Affaire «Softcare» : "Un scandale sanitaire que l'on cherche à étouffer" (Me Massokhna Kane)
"The case of 'Softcare' baby diapers and sanitary napkins constitutes a major health hazard that has gone on for far too long." This is the opinion of Mr. Massokhna Kane, president of SOS Consommateurs (Senegalese Association for Consumer Protection).
He believes that this danger, which was discovered during the inspection by the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ARP) on January 12, 2024, has certainly existed for several years.
"It took the courage and patriotism of Dr. Moussa Diallo to denounce this health scandal that they are trying to stifle at the level of his hierarchy," praised Mr. Kane.
SOS Consommateurs requests that Dr. Diallo be heard urgently by OFNAC, be granted whistleblower status, and be protected in accordance with the provisions of articles 9 and 10 of law 2025-14 of September 4, 2025.
"We are convinced that following our complaint, the Public Prosecutor's Office of the High Court of Mbour will not fail to order a judicial investigation which will put an end to this health scandal and ensure that the guilty parties, wherever they may be, are severely punished," hopes the president of SOS Consumers.
