Alioune Sall salue la mémoire d'Abdou Aziz Mbaye : « voix emblématique du patrimoine immatériel »
The world of traditional communication and culture is in mourning following the passing of Mr. Abdou Aziz Mbaye, President of the Association of Traditional Communicators of Senegal. His passing leaves a legacy deemed invaluable to the country's collective memory.
Reacting to this loss, the Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Economy, Alioune Sall, expressed his deep emotion on X (formerly Twitter).
"Senegal has lost an emblematic voice of its intangible heritage. Abdou Aziz Mbaye was a tireless artisan of cultural dialogue, a transmitter of memory, and a symbol of our plural identity," the minister declared.
Alioune Sall also expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, to the Tidiane community and to all the traditional communicators of the country.
The minister stressed that Abdou Aziz Mbaye's commitment "will remain a source of inspiration for generations to come," adding that a national tribute could be paid to him in the coming days.
