Allé Nar Diop élu président du Conseil de régulation de l'ARCOP
The Regulatory Board of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (ARCOP) officially has a new president. Meeting this Monday, April 27, 2026, at its headquarters, following the installation of its new members, the body elected Allé Nar Diop as its head.
The session took place in the presence of the institution's Director General, Dr. Moustapha Djitté.
An economist, statistician, and Treasury Inspector, Allé Nar Diop possesses a strong technical background. Formerly the Director General of the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD), he currently serves as Minister-Advisor to the President of the Republic. Following his election, he reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the public interest and strengthening the performance of the public procurement system.
In accordance with the decrees in force, he will also, by right, assume the chairmanship of the Dispute Settlement Committee (DSC).
For this new term, the Council welcomes several new members from complementary backgrounds. The private sector is represented by Raqui Wane, a lawyer with over forty years of experience in insurance and litigation, who is also a member of the executive committee of the National Employers' Council (CNP). Civil society will be represented by Saliou Diéye, president of the National Order of Experts (ONES), whose accounting and financial expertise will be invaluable in addressing governance issues. The government is also represented by Magistrate Rokhaya Sène, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Justice.
This new configuration of the Regulatory Council is distinguished by a major symbolic development. For the first time in the history of the body, three women now sit on the council, marking a significant feminization of high-level public procurement regulation in Senegal.
