An 23 du naufrage du "Joola" : L'appel des familles des victimes et des rescapés au président Diomaye

On September 26, 2025, Senegal will commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the sinking of the boat "Le Joola" under the theme "23 years after 'Le Joola': the urgency of remembrance, the imperative of changing behavior."

As a prelude to this event, the National Association of Families of Victims and Survivors of "Joola" (ANFVR-"Joola") launches a solemn appeal to the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, and to his entire government led by Ousmane Sonko for questions related to truth and justice on "Joola", whose case remains an open wound.

According to the current and former presidents of the association, Cyprien Lopy and Boubacar Ba, "Le Joola" still lies in the depths of the ocean, like a sunken memorial. "We fervently request its refloating, in order to recover the bones and relics," they plead.

As for the "Joola" Memorial-Museum, the ANFVR-"Joola" demands its opening as soon as possible, in addition to the psychosocial care of families and survivors, and the integration of orphans.

Arrêtez SVP, vous en abusez trop de l'esprit de ces morts.
Laissez les se reposer en paix. Priez pour eux c'est ce dont ils ont besoin, pas de profiter de leur mort et continuer à vivre de leur âmes et corps.
Vous êtes pires que des charognards.
Allez chercher du travail.
Arrêtez ce chantage à chaque gouvernement
Laissez ces âmes se reposer.

LEtat devrait arrêter de vous écouter et reconnaître cette organisation.
J'ai une proche qui était parmi les victimes , mais jamais nous n'irons à vos meetings , et arrêter d'utiliser son âme pour se faire de l'argent, respecter les, vous allez aussi mourir d'un moment à l'autre

Ces gens devraient être ignorés par la Presse et leur organisation non reconnue. Si tous les parents de victimes d'accidents mortels créent associations et réclame argent, personne n'a va travailler. Des maîtres chanteurs sans dignité ces gens.
