Baisse du niveau de l’eau à Touba : Serigne Kosso Mbacké, fils du Khalife général des Mourides visite l’ouvrage stratégique de Nguélémou

The Nguélémou basin is operating at full capacity. It is at the heart of the systems that evacuate rainwater, outside the city, towards the infiltration basins of Pofdy, Darou Rahman and Keur Kabb. This strategic structure inaugurated on Saturday, August 2, 2025 by Prime Minister Ousmane in the presence of the Minister of Hydraulics and Sanitation, Dr. Cheikh Tidiane Dièye and the Director General of ONAS, Mr. Séni Diène, received a visit from the son of the General Caliph of the Mourides, Serigne Kosso Mbacké. This visit comes in a context of continuous decline in the water level in neighborhoods equipped with drainage structures such as Nguélémou, Nguiranène, Keur Niang among others.

It should be recalled that the two rainwater drainage systems of Touba (Keur Niang-Pofdy and Keur Niang-Darou Rahman) and (Nguélémou-Keur Kabb) continued until August 26 to discharge water towards the outlets. The cumulative discharge flow is 8,320 m3/hour for the two stations, Keur Niang and Nguélémou.

Touba est très en retard au niveau de ses infrastructures. Les défis à relever sont colossaux, c est pour cela que l'état doit venir en aide aux sinistrés. Un bon musulman doit toujours aider son prochain.

L'Etat a toujours lésé Touba coté infrastructures malgré d'après le dernier recensement elle est devenue la première ville coté démographie.
