Bargny : Un maçon arrêté par la police avec 2 kg de chanvre indien après une tentative de fuite

Bargny police forces, led by Lieutenant Babacar Ly, made a significant drug seizure during a routine check that went wrong for the suspects.

The incident occurred during a traffic control mission conducted by the urban police force of the Bargny police station on the axis of National Road No. 1. The officers attempted to intercept a Jakarta motorcycle driver and his passenger.

But the situation quickly turned sour when the driver of the vehicle refused to comply with police orders to stop. This suspicious reaction alerted law enforcement to the potentially illegal nature of what the fugitives were transporting.

A fall that reveals the traffic

The attempt to evade the controls backfired on the suspects. In his desperate escape, the motorcyclist fell heavily with his vehicle. This fortuitous accident allowed the police to catch at least one of the two suspects.

While the passenger took advantage of the confusion to escape on foot, the motorcyclist was not so lucky. His capture revealed the reason for his escape: he was carrying two kilograms of Indian hemp, according to Seneweb sources.

At the Bargny police station, where he was taken, the suspect was formally identified as MI Ndoye, a 19-year-old mason living in the Dangou district of Rufisque.

Confronted with the facts during his hearing, he revealed the identity of his fugitive accomplice, thus providing investigators with leads to continue dismantling this network.

MI Ndoye was then taken into custody for possession and trafficking of Indian hemp. The 2 kg of Indian hemp and the Jakarta motorcycle used to transport the drugs were sealed for use in the legal proceedings.
