Bargny : Un trafiquant arrêté par la police avec 2 kg de chanvre indien après une heure de planque
In the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, investigators from the Bargny research brigade apprehended a drug dealer. More than 2 kg of Indian hemp intended for resale were discovered at his home.
Acting on an anonymous tip indicating the existence of an Indian hemp trafficking network run by a certain Omar based in Bargny Kipp, the BR elements launched an operation on the night of February 3-4, 2026.
Having arrived at the scene with the support of their informant, they scouted the house before entering. Informed that the suspect was temporarily absent, the police set up a stakeout near the residence.
After waiting for about an hour, the suspect was finally spotted. Upon seeing the officers, he tried to flee, but was quickly apprehended. Taken to his room, a thorough search revealed 2 kg and 29 packets of marijuana, according to Seneweb sources.
The suspect, identified as O. Sall, a 28-year-old metalworker residing in Bargny Kipp, was taken to the station around 1 a.m.
After a brief hearing, he admitted to possessing the seized drugs, which he said he acquired from a supplier named Guèye, residing in Diamniadio, for 55,000 CFA francs. He also stated that he had ordered the prohibited substance with the intention of reselling it to his customers in Bargny.
After being informed of his rights, O. Sall was taken into custody for possession and trafficking of marijuana. The public prosecutor's office has been notified, and the investigation is continuing to dismantle the network and apprehend the suspected supplier.
