Bel-Air : démantèlement d’un gang de voleurs de batteries de camions
The Bel-Air District Police Station in Dakar has arrested two individuals for criminal conspiracy and nighttime theft with the use of a vehicle, as part of a security operation aimed at combating crime.
During a patrol, officers spotted a taxi traveling from Yarakh toward the Baku roundabout. When the driver refused to comply, and he continued toward the "platform," law enforcement officers set up a gendarmerie security barrier, immobilizing the vehicle. The two passengers attempted to flee in the darkness: one was arrested, while the other managed to escape.
A search of the taxi revealed five heavy-duty batteries, stolen from Yarakh Kappa from two parked trucks, according to a confession from one of the suspects. The driver, for his part, denies any involvement, claiming to have stopped his vehicle only after identifying the police.
The two suspects were taken into custody at the Bel-Air police station. The investigation continues to find the fugitive accomplice and clarify the circumstances of this organized robbery.

C’est des actes très nombreux dans la zone de Yarakh jusqu’à Bel Air. Il faut que la police élargît leur enquête,les camionneurs sont vraiment fatigués sur ces vols de batteries
