A serious traffic accident occurred this Saturday on National Route 4, near the village of Diabir, in the commune of Oulampane, Bignona department. The accident involved a truck and a minibus, resulting in one death and several injuries.

According to initial reports from the scene, the truck collided violently with the minibus before leaving the road and crashing into a roadside house. The force of the impact caused widespread panic among local residents and other road users.

The preliminary report indicates around ten injured, three of whom are in critical condition according to emergency services. All victims were quickly taken to the Bignona health center for treatment.

Unfortunately, the minibus driver did not survive his injuries. Despite the efforts of the medical teams, he succumbed shortly after being evacuated, bringing the death toll to one.

Witnesses present at the time of the accident described a scene of utter devastation. Defense and security forces, supported by emergency services, arrived at the scene to secure the area, facilitate the evacuation of the injured, and conduct initial investigations.

The exact circumstances of the collision remain unknown at this time. An investigation has been launched by the relevant authorities to determine the causes of the accident and establish any potential liability.
