The police station of Unit 15 in the Parcelles Assainies district arrested a man in his fifties who is being prosecuted for rape resulting in pregnancy, committed by a person in a position of authority over the victim. The arrest follows a complaint filed on March 2, 2026, by KD, an 18-year-old girl, against her stepfather, according to Seneweb sources.
The accused, MF, 50, a shopkeeper residing in Cambérène, has been married to the complainant's mother for seven years. According to KD's statements, she has been living with her mother and stepfather in a single room in Cambérène 2 since the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. She explains that she had long lived apart from her mother, only spending holidays with her. After obtaining her BFEM (Brevet de Fin d'Études Moyennes), she decided to join her mother to continue her secondary education.
In her complaint, the young woman claims to have been sexually abused twice in the past two years by her stepfather. She maintains that she is currently pregnant by him. An ultrasound dated March 2, 2026, indicates a pregnancy estimated to be a few days along.
Recounting the circumstances, KD stated that her stepfather took advantage of her mother's absence to commit the act, while threatening her with reprisals if she reported him. She specified that she had lost her virginity to MF, adding that the last encounter dated back to the last two weeks of January 2026.
A few weeks after these alleged events, noticing a delay in her period (her last one was on January 10, 2026), she says she alerted her stepfather. According to her, he downplayed the situation, claiming she was "making things up for nothing" and that she was "in good health." She claims to have recorded a conversation about this on her cell phone. In this recording, dated February 21, 2026, and given to investigators, the man allegedly told her that the delay was "perfectly normal," that she "shouldn't be afraid," and that he would "definitely know if anything had happened to her," mentioning "Family Economics" courses he claims to have taken. According to the investigation, the audio recording appears to corroborate the complainant's account.
When questioned briefly, MF denied the charges against him, claiming he had been suffering from erectile dysfunction for a year, a situation he said was known only to his mother. However, his wife's testimony contradicted this version of events. She told investigators that they had a "very normal" sex life and that their last sexual encounter had been two weeks prior, according to Seneweb sources.
The investigation is ongoing to establish responsibility in this case.
