Chambre criminelle de Louga : Une mère de famille de 32 ans condamnée à 5 ans pour infanticide
The criminal chamber of the Louga High Court sentenced 32-year-old Soukèye Diaw to five years in prison for infanticide. The divorced woman gave birth in a toilet before burying her newborn in a sheepfold. The events took place on August 13, 2023, in Dahra.
A case of infanticide had made headlines in this area. A young woman named Soukèye Diaw, divorced and a mother of four, had returned from Dakar eight months pregnant. A week after her return to Dahra, she managed to give birth in the toilet of her family home, without any medical assistance.
A few minutes later, she cleaned the toilet before wrapping the newborn in a loincloth and went to bury it in a sheepfold located near her home.
But the smell coming from the sheepfold quickly attracted the attention of the locals who searched until they unearthed the body of a male baby wrapped in a loincloth.
The investigations carried out by the Dahra gendarmerie, who had been informed, led to the arrest of the suspect, Soukèye Diaw. During questioning, she confessed to the act before being brought before the Louga prosecutor's office on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, on charges of infanticide.

Jeune mère de famille, divorcée avec quatre enfants qui se prend 5 ans de taule puisqu'accusée d'infanticide . Elle n'avait certainement pas de quoi se nourrir et nourrir sa progéniture . Elle a vendu donc son corps parce qu'elle avait faim et des hommes sans scrupules, atrocement incultes, en ont profité . Si j'avais été juge je l'aurais envoyée dans un centre de rééducation spécialisé pendant 3 ans où elle apprendrait un bon métier car, ....... en fin de compte, au Sénégal, Reubeuss Alcatraz n'a jamais rééduqué personne !
Je ne crois pas que ce soit 5 ans en France
