Chantage aux vidéos intimes : une jeune mariée piégée par sa propre cousine
On December 23rd, around 8 p.m., FK's world collapsed. This young married woman received a video on WhatsApp from an unknown number, showing her having sex with her husband in the privacy of their bedroom. Immediately afterward, the sender called her and began making threats: he demanded an intimate meeting and a large sum of money, under threat of releasing the images on social media, as reported by L'Observateur in its Tuesday edition.
Despite the panic, the same source reports, the victim maintained remarkable composure and alerted the Point E police station. Under the direction of Commissioner Sow, the officers advised him to "play along." A meeting was thus arranged for December 25th at the Mame Abdou Aziz roundabout. Watched by plainclothes officers, the blackmailer, JF Gomis, a student residing in Wakhinane-Nimzatt, was apprehended as soon as he appeared.
Under intense questioning from investigators, the student quickly identified the mastermind behind the operation: YS Diallo, alias "Mami," 19 years old, who was none other than the victim's first cousin. Arrested in Petit Mbao, the young seamstress confessed.
“It was during a visit from FK to our family home in Petit Mbao. She showed me some intimate videos of herself and her husband. But at one point, she left, leaving me with her phone. I took advantage of this to access her gallery and transferred the videos to my device.”
After this data theft, the cousin had carefully classified about ten compromising videos in "Hidden" and "Recently Deleted" folders, before entrusting the student with the sinister mission of carrying out the blackmail, she confesses, as reported by the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group (Gfm).
Technical analysis of the phones confirmed the existence of these files. The pair were brought before the prosecutor on Monday on charges of conspiracy, blackmail, and invasion of privacy, Gfm reports.
