Chantier illégal de 450m2 : La DGSCOS rétablit l’ordre foncier au Virage !
Amid growing pressure on land, the General Directorate of Social Security and Cohesion (DGSCOS), headed by Colonel Ousmane Amadou Ba since 2023, is stepping up its vigilance in Dakar. The institution insists that all construction must comply with standards and obtain the necessary permits, otherwise the government will intervene firmly.
This week, Colonel Ba marked a turning point by stopping an illegal construction site in Virage, where a private individual had illegally occupied more than 450 m² of public property, raising alarm among local residents. Faced with this uncontrolled occupation, the DGSCOS teams acted swiftly, implementing an order to suspend the work and restore order. "Public space is not a land to be conquered," it was insisted, affirming the primacy of the law in the face of arbitrary attempts.
Residents, tired of land lawlessness, welcomed this action: "Thanks to him, the law has regained its full force," confided one notable, while another praised "a man on the ground, who acts firmly." Renowned for his responsiveness, transparency, and rigor, Colonel Ba and the DSGOS are consolidating their role as a bulwark against abuses, strengthening citizens' confidence in the State.
