Chute du «baron de Thiadiaye» : le trafic de drogue nourrit le dealer, ses trois épouses et ses… 31 enfants
Birima F., alias "Ndongo," a sixty-year-old living in Cité Nguère, a district of Thiadiaye, was arrested, brought before the Mbour prosecutor's office, and then remanded in custody for drug trafficking. Married to three wives and the father of 31 children, the dealer is well-known in the locality; he is a sort of baron of illicit trafficking.
He was arrested last Thursday in flagrante delicto, according to L'Observateur, which reported the information. That day, the newspaper continues, exploiting the alert from an anonymous source, elements of the Thiadiaye gendarmerie brigade set up a surveillance system. Ndongo left his hideout with three kilos of Indian hemp in his possession, intended for clients from Dakar.
"He won't have time to complete the transaction, because the police officers who have been watching him for several hours take action and arrest him. Taken to the local police station, Birima F. confesses, admitting to being the owner of the seized drugs," reports L'Observateur.
And that's not all. Birima F. "also acknowledges his status as a notorious trafficker of Indian hemp. An activity which, according to him, allows him to support his large family and cover daily expenses."
Perhaps he should strengthen his defense further if he hopes to avoid a heavy prison sentence.
