Condamné à 2 ans ferme à Kaolack : le rappeur Doff Ndèye libéré
Rapper Alassane Diallo, better known by his stage name Djily, alias Doff Ndèye, was released yesterday, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Seneweb learned from his lawyer, Abdou Aziz Diop. The artist had been held in pretrial detention since June 24, 2024, at the Kaolack Detention and Correction Center (MAC), for illegal possession of a firearm and attempted murder of B. Faye.
A dispute arose during a concert in Ndoffane
As a reminder, the artist had accused a young man of vandalizing his vehicle while he was performing at a concert in Ndoffane. Armed with a knife, Doff Ndèye managed to overpower the individual before stabbing him. The victim lost a significant amount of blood before managing to escape.
Armed with a medical certificate attesting to a temporary incapacity for work of more than 20 days, the victim filed a complaint with the commander of the Kaolack territorial brigade. The gendarmes then issued a warrant for the rapper's arrest, who was eventually apprehended in the Mbour department.
The verdict was delivered yesterday
Following his trial, the Saloum High Court delivered its verdict yesterday. After a compelling argument by his lawyer, Mr. Diop, the judge reclassified the charges as assault and battery. The rapper was thus sentenced to two years in prison. Having already served this sentence during his pretrial detention, Alassane Diallo was released after the verdict.
