A. Gueye, 20, a high school junior residing in Pikine, was sentenced yesterday, Friday, to six months in prison, three of which are to be served, by the Pikine-Guédiawaye Magistrates' Court. The young man was arrested by the Special Cybersecurity Division for illegally collecting personal data, threatening to distribute intimate videos, and kidnapping. The victim is his girlfriend, NMD Cissokho, 18, a high school junior residing in Guédiawaye.

In court, the plaintiff withdrew their claim. Despite this withdrawal, the prosecution continued. Before the judge, A. Gueye admitted to the facts, reiterating the statements recorded in the preliminary investigation report.

The public prosecutor has requested the application of criminal law.

Representing the young man, lawyer Takha Cissé pleaded for leniency. He emphasized his client's immaturity and his status as a student whose education would likely be disrupted by detention. "Admitting one's mistake is the foundation of growth. My client will not repeat such an action," the lawyer reassured the defendant.

"I agreed to perform oral sex in order to…"

According to the investigation, the young students met on the social network Instagram. That's how they began a romantic relationship.

In her complaint filed on May 15, 2026, NMD Cissokho explains that she had been in a relationship with A. Gueye since Ramadan. On May 7, the young man invited her to an apartment in Petit-Mbao. After her uncle, who was present, left, the defendant insisted on having sex with her. The young woman claims she refused. The young man beat her severely before holding her in the apartment. She also states that she agreed to perform oral sex on him to get rid of him, unaware that she was being filmed without her consent.

A few days later, after the relationship ended, the boy sent her the intimate video while threatening to release it on social media if she refused to have sex with him.

The plaintiff also claims that a woman named Oumy called her to reveal that A. Gueye had sent her the videos so that she could post them on social media. She refused to do so.

The defendant's confession

During questioning, A. Gueye admitted to several incriminating acts. The young man confessed to having the complainant stay in the apartment: “I wanted us to have fun and have sex. But she refused. I asked her to perform oral sex on me, and she agreed without hesitation.” He also admitted to filming the intimate encounter without the young woman's consent.

The defendant also confirmed that he had sent the videos to a friend named Oumy. "It was just to scare her so I could have sex with her," he said. However, he maintained that he had "absolutely no intention" of posting the videos on social media.

Confronted with his actions, A. Gueye finally apologized to the complainant, acknowledging that he had made a mistake.
