Convocation de Doudou Wade et Pape Ngagne : Thierno Alassane Sall monte au créneau
The MP and president of the Republic of Values (RV), Thierno Alassane Sall, took to the airwaves following the summons of Doudou Wade and journalist Pape Ngagne Ndiaye, denouncing what he considers a selective application of the law.
The former minister believes that "the most dangerous form of government is arbitrariness." According to him, Doudou Wade "never uttered a hundredth of the statements that certain Pastef officials or supporters have dared to make, yesterday and today, without facing any consequences."
Thierno Alassane Sall was keen to paint a portrait of the former Liberal leader, whom he described as "an open-minded, cultured man," emphasizing that he had had "deep and frank exchanges with him, marked by wisdom." In his view, Doudou Wade, at his age, seeks only peace for the country and plays the role of a republican guardian. He added that the true "insurrectionists" are known in this country.
Regarding Pape Ngagne Ndiaye, the parliamentarian believes that the journalist was only exercising his role as a media professional, implicitly invoking freedom of expression and the right to information.
For Thierno Alassane Sall, when the law chooses its targets, it is no longer justice that is being expressed, but a message.
