Corniche Ouest : un mort dans un «règlement de comptes» près de l’ambassade du Japon
An Ivorian national, whose identity remains unknown for the time being, died last Friday on the Corniche Ouest, near the Japanese embassy. According to Libération, which reported the news, the victim, a tout at the "Malian market" located in Plateau, was killed by his colleague named Bacary D., who allegedly hit him unconscious with a brick during a fight.
"After committing his crime, he reported himself to his friends, who notified police officers patrolling the area," the newspaper reported.
The investigation will shed light on the motive for the crime. Libération reports that it could be a settling of scores. "The alleged murderer and the victim used to fight over clients," according to the information gathered by the daily newspaper.
