Coupure d’électricité à Kédougou : la SENELEC annonce un incident sur le réseau moyenne tension
An incident that occurred this Friday around 6 p.m. plunged part of the municipality of Kédougou and its surrounding areas into darkness. According to the local Senelec, the outage was linked to an underground fault detected near the new train station, in the Lawol Tamba district.
Immediate consequence: the area from the exit towards Tambacounda to Mako is currently without electricity, causing inconvenience for the population and economic activities.
In response to the situation, Senelec technical teams are already deployed on the ground to carry out repairs and identify the exact causes of the incident. The public electricity company assures that it is doing everything possible to quickly restore service.
This cut comes as the inhabitants of Kédougou are increasingly expressing their concern about the frequent interruptions of electricity, especially during this winter period, which affect both households and the economic and social structures of the region.
