Cyberattaque à la Comptabilité publique : Oumar Dramé alerte sur les retards de salaires et de paiements
The consequences of the cyberattack that struck the Public Accounting and Treasury services continue to cause significant disruptions within the Senegalese administration. Salary delays, blocked payments to state suppliers, difficulties in the disbursement of scholarships and pensions, slowdowns in public revenue collection and disbursement, as well as disruptions to tax and customs revenue: the situation is causing serious concern among many public employees.
Faced with this crisis, the Interministerial Collective of Senegalese Civil Servants is sounding the alarm. Its coordinator, Oumar Dramé, is calling on the government to take urgent measures to unblock payment orders and allow the affected employees to receive their salaries as soon as possible.
"There are truly enormous difficulties on the eve of the Tabaski festival. Some employees have not yet received their salaries and this situation is becoming extremely difficult for many workers," says Oumar Dramé.
According to him, several organizations are affected by the disruptions caused by this cyberattack. "There are employees at the Ministry of Fisheries who have not received their monthly performance bonuses. In the semi-public sector as well, some employees have still not received their salaries," he states.
The coordinator of the interministerial collective believes that the urgency of the situation requires a rapid response from the authorities, in a context marked by the rise in the cost of living and the expenses related to the approach of Tabaski.
“We are already facing difficulties related to the high cost of living. We, as workers, believe that immediate measures must be found by tomorrow or the day after so that the situation can return to normal and all payment orders and salaries are actually paid,” insists Oumar Dramé.
While awaiting the full restoration of the affected systems, concerns remain high within the Public Administration, where many agents fear a worsening of delays in the State's financial operations.
