Dakar : Piégés par la BRS, un cuisinier et un étudiant guinéen arrêtés avec un stock de drogue

The Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), made a new drug seizure on January 14, 2026. Two individuals were arrested in possession of nine slabs of hashish and ecstasy according to Seneweb sources.

For several weeks, BRS investigators had been working on operational intelligence indicating organized drug trafficking in the Dieuppeul, Sacré-Cœur, and Sicap Foire areas and their surroundings. These illicit activities were carried out by a group of young people, some of whom had already been formally identified by the police. This operation is a continuation of the case involving D. Diarra, PG Tall, DBAS Guèye, and PI Sarr.

They had previously been referred to the prosecutor's office of the High Court of Dakar for criminal association, possession of drugs (hashish and skunk) for the purpose of trafficking, complicity in trafficking and money laundering.

The decisive turning point in the investigation came when BRS detectives intercepted a text message exchanged on D. Diarra's WhatsApp account. In this conversation, a man named Jeannot confirmed an order for a slab of hashish. The two had agreed to meet at the Auchan supermarket in Sacré-Cœur to complete the transaction.

As soon as they were informed, investigators organized a discreet surveillance operation at the meeting place. Their patience was rewarded when, around 5:15 p.m., the suspect appeared.

First arrest at Sacré-Cœur

Jeannot N. was immediately apprehended by the detectives. A body search conducted at the scene revealed a slab of hashish in his possession, thus confirming the information gathered during the interception of the message.

Taken to the BRS headquarters, the suspect was questioned about the origin of the seized drugs. Under pressure from investigators, he eventually revealed the identity of his main supplier: a certain SF Sagha.

To trace the supply chain, the agents asked Jeannot to place a new order with his supplier. He agreed and arranged for delivery at the Jet d'Eau roundabout.

This is how the BRS officers redeployed to the Jet d'Eau roundabout. Around 5:45 p.m., SF Sagha arrived at the meeting point to make the delivery. Investigators intervened at the precise moment he was handing over the slab of hashish to Jeannot Ndiaye. The supplier was apprehended in the act of selling narcotics.

A search of SF Sagha's home in Grand-Dakar allowed investigators to seize a large, carefully concealed stash of drugs. They discovered seven additional slabs of hashish as well as 300 grams of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy.

In total, the operation resulted in the seizure of nine slabs of hashish representing a total weight of 900 g and 360 g of ecstasy.

The two individuals arrested (Jeannot Ndiaye, born January 30, 1997, who claims to be a cook and decorator by profession and resides in Sicap Liberté, and SF Sagha, born February 11, 1999 in Guinea-Bissau, a Guinean national who presents himself as a student and resides in Grand-Dakar) were taken into custody at the BRS (Brigade de Répression du Sécurité - Security Brigade). Before their detention, they were duly informed of their right to be assisted by a lawyer or legal counsel of their choice.

In connection with the same case, investigators made another significant seizure. A sheepfold belonging to a fugitive wanted in connection with the case was seized. The farm housed 27 sheep and some purebred poultry.
