Officers from the Operational Division of the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS) arrested an individual in Ngor on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in possession of a large quantity of drugs. The suspect, A. Ndiaye, a merchant residing in Ngor, born in 1976, married to two women and father of six children.

Upon his arrest, investigators discovered on him 19 rocks of crack, five bags of skunk, 18 balls of 1g of hashish, three balls of 25g and 10 balls of 5g of hashish.

It all started with a discovery in Paris

This arrest follows an investigation opened after the discovery and seizure of five slabs of hashish in Paris, concealed in a package. On January 11, 2026, the OCRTIS Intelligence Division received a tip from a Senegalese man who traveled between Dakar and Paris. He reported finding five slabs of hashish hidden in two packets of sugar inside a package given to him by the owner of the telephone number +33 7 (...).

As a precaution, the police officer had checked the contents of the package. He noticed a strong odor coming from the sugar packets. Upon removing the packaging, he discovered two packets in one and three in the other. He immediately went to the Goutte d'Or police station in Paris to file a report, according to Seneweb sources.

Having been informed of the facts, the director of the OCRTIS ordered a controlled delivery. On January 13, 2026, the intended recipient requested delivery of the suspicious package to his home. A sting operation was then set up by members of the operational division.

On site, A. Ndiaye was arrested. After being informed of his right to legal counsel of his choice, he was taken into custody for conspiracy, international drug trafficking, and money laundering.

All the seized drugs, the mobile phone and the sum of money found in his possession were impounded for the purpose of being sealed.
