Décès d'Ali Khamenei : Serigne Mountakha Mbacké envoie une délégation à l’ambassade d’Iran
A large delegation sent by the general khalifa of the Mourides, Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, went to the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dakar to sign the book of condolences opened following the recent events related to the conflict in the Middle East.
The delegation included the son of the Caliph, Chouaïbou Mbacké. It was led by Serigne Cheikh Ahmadou Badawi, who was responsible for conveying the condolences and messages of encouragement from the Mouride religious authority.
According to the emissary of the caliph, Serigne Mountakha Mbacké renewed his prayers for a victory for Iran, while deploring "an unprecedented military aggression" which he attributes to an American-Israeli coalition.
The religious leader also called on the faithful to intensify their prayers, particularly on the occasion of a day of reflection planned for this Friday.
For his part, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Senegal welcomed the mobilization recorded since the opening of the book of condolences. He praised the support expressed by various segments of Senegalese society, including religious families, political parties, and civil society organizations.
The Iranian diplomat also expressed his gratitude to Serigne Mountakha Mbacké for his call for a day of prayer, seeing it as a gesture of spiritual solidarity during this difficult time.
