Mouhamed Madiaw Sène, better known as Baye Zale, died in the early morning of Saturday, December 20. Admitted to the hospital on Friday evening for sudden gastric complications, his death caused shockwaves, as his family was unaware of any serious illness.

Originally from the suburbs of Dakar, he started out as a photographer, cameraman, presenter, and technician before turning to artist management, convinced that technical mastery was essential. He therefore worked his way up through all the technical professions in the entertainment industry, forging his expertise on the ground, before becoming a professional in audiovisual production.
3. The mentor behind Sidy Diop's rise
His meeting with Sidy Diop was a turning point in his career as a manager. He structured the young artist's career, notably opening doors to his first European tours. Sidy Diop paid him a moving tribute, calling him "a brother and friend."
4. The trusted man of the "Faramarène"
After working with the late Ndongo Lô and Mandiaye Seck, he joined Wally Ballago Seck's staff. Starting as a technician, he climbed the ranks to become the star's official manager about a year ago. He brought a rigor and strategic vision that were appreciated by everyone.
5. A flood of tributes
Despite his immense influence in the music industry, Baye Zale shunned the limelight. Buried in the Muslim cemetery of Yoff, he leaves behind the image of a principled man and a devoted family man. Artists and cultural figures unanimously praise a tireless worker and a humane and respected man.
