It is with deep emotion that I learned of the passing of Serigne Cheikh Saliou Mbacké, son of the fifth Caliph General of the Mourides, Serigne Saliou Mbacké.
In these moments of reflection, I offer my deepest condolences to the Caliph General of the Mourides, to the Mouride community, and to the entire Ummah. I bow before the memory of a scholar, a man of faith and integrity, who remained faithful to the teachings of the founder of Mouridism.
I pray to the Almighty to welcome him into His infinite mercy and to grant him His eternal grace.
