Deux étrangers arrêtés à l'AIBD : 8 000 euros pour s'acheter une identité norvégienne
Migrant smuggling by air, identity theft and criminal association. This is the serious list of charges that weigh on two foreign nationals arrested on May 25, 2026 at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD), as they were about to board a Brussels Airlines flight to Brussels.
Passengers disembarked before takeoff
It all began during the departure formalities for Brussels Airlines flight SN0204 on May 25, 2026. The special police station at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) intercepted two suspicious passengers and handed them over to the National Division for Combating Migrant Smuggling and Related Practices (DNLT). They were Albanna Martin Issa, a holder of a Swedish ordinary passport, and an individual presenting himself as Halil Ali Kataya, carrying a Norwegian ordinary passport.
A technical authentication report quickly exposed the deception: the Norwegian passport presented by the second passenger did not belong to him. His real name was Abdallah Deep Abdallah Aljayyar. He had stolen the identity of Halil Ali Kataya in an attempt to leave Senegalese territory.
A network organized from Egypt
The investigation revealed that the case was not simply a matter of identity theft. When questioned by the DNLT (National Directorate for the Fight Against Terrorism), Abdallah Deep Abdallah Aljayyar gave a detailed confession. He admitted to buying the Norwegian passport from the real Halil Ali Kataya for €8,000. But most importantly, he revealed the central role played by Albanna Martin Issa in organizing his trip.
According to his statements, the latter, a Swedish national of Palestinian origin, orchestrated the entire operation from Egypt. Abdallah Deep Abdallah Aljayyar was to transit through Senegal before entering Europe using the passport in question. Albanna Martin Issa allegedly oversaw this Senegalese transit.
A precedent: the brother had already gone through the same process
Abdallah Deep Abdallah Aljayyar's revelations also shed light on a related case. He indicates that Albanna Martin Issa had already used the same method to smuggle her brother, Ahmed Aljayyar, into Europe. In that earlier case, it was the Swedish passport of a certain Mahmoud Mahamoud Hassouna that had been stolen.
The events date back to May 1, 2026. Albanna Martin Issa and Mahmoud Mahamoud Hassouna, whose identity had in fact been stolen by Ahmed Aljayyar, boarded the same flight SN0204 bound for Brussels. Once in Belgium, the passenger traveling under a false identity applied for asylum. It was this report, filed from Belgium, that triggered an alert and led, three weeks later, to Albanna Martin Issa's arrest during her next attempt to cross the border at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD).
Having been informed of their right to legal counsel, the two individuals arrested were subjected to a thorough investigation conducted by the DNLT. Confronted with the incriminating evidence, they both confessed to the charges against them, according to Seneweb sources.
At the end of the proceedings, Albanna Martin Issa and Abdallah Deep Abdallah Aljayyar were brought before the financial prosecutor, who has jurisdiction over migrant smuggling cases. They are being prosecuted for migrant smuggling by air, complicity in identity theft, and criminal conspiracy.
